Obviously GM is motivated and sees us as an important action as well and they have experience. ",{"type":570,"attrs":645,"content":646},{"textAlign":49},[647],{"text":648,"type":578},"We are permitted in Nevada for hydroxide but we also have done the engineering for greenfield or brownfield [projects] … To think about something in the Midwest or even Canada where you can feed that facility with carbonate from Thacker Pass… If you have it off the resource yourself you can feed it from anywhere. They [GM] understand very well that going from carbonate to hydroxide is pretty low risk and is a simple process versus building a fit for purpose hydroxide facility for spodumene. You’re looking at a cost of around $300 to $400 million for a conversion version facility that makes 25,000 tonnes of hydroxide a year – they’re fairly simple.",{"type":570,"attrs":650,"content":651},{"textAlign":49},[652],{"text":653,"type":578},"Lithium carbonate is like the Swiss Army knife – it is the tradeable commodity that will be the basis of the industry. What do you mean by this? They’re [GM] are going to need lots more capacity, whether that’s Phase 2 together, or lithium hydroxide processing which they’re quite interested in … You’ve got the North American business really set now. GM will take over as the largest shareholder… Ganfeng will still be a shareholder post split – they will retain their respective equity percentage; you’re simply just splitting the company in half. There’s a requirement under Canadian tax rules where there’s a holding period … Ganfeng in the US will end up getting diluted even further.
