Albemarle shifts focus to spodumene but fails to address primary lithium supply

Albemarle Corp, the largest diversified lithium producer in the world, has revealed plans to more than double its processing capacity by adding 50,000 tpa lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) in a bid to further extend its reach into the lithium-ion battery market.
