Benchmark to publish CIF North America and CIF Europe spot and contract lithium grades

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence will now publish separate spot and contract price assessments for lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide in Europe and North America, beginning 11 June 2025. Moreover, from the same date, the FOB North America lithium hydroxide incoterm will be changed to CIF North America.

The following grades are being impacted:

CIF Europe lithium carbonate is now CIF Europe lithium carbonate (spot) and CIF Europe lithium carbonate (contract)

CIF Europe lithium hydroxide is now CIF Europe lithium hydroxide (spot) and CIF Europe lithium hydroxide (contract)

CIF North America lithium carbonate is now CIF North America lithium carbonate (spot) and CIF North America lithium carbonate (contract)

FOB North America lithium hydroxide is now CIF North America lithium hydroxide (spot) and CIF North America lithium hydroxide (contract)

These prices are available to Benchmark’s Lithium Price Assessment subscribers every other Wednesday by 4pm (London), starting 11 June 2025, with market analysis sent out to subscribers soon after.
