Benchmark to increase publishing frequency of nickel grades to twice-monthly

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence (Benchmark) will now assess all nickel prices twice a month, evolving our process from once-a-month cycles.

This evolution allows for the facilitation of more frequent nickel price assessments within the parameters of Benchmark’s IOSCO compliant nickel price methodology.

This is following a market consultation period in October and November 2023.

Additionally, Benchmark will include its new Normalised Nickel Sulphate CIF Asia price along with the publication of nickel MHP CIF Asia price in a USD/tonne format to increase clarity on changing MHP costs.

These prices are available to Benchmark’s Nickel Price Assessment subscribers on the 15th of the month (or the closest working day following the 15th) and the final working day of the month, both by 4pm (London).
