Benchmark to publish domestic China prices in Chinese Yuan

Following the conclusion of a formal consultation, Benchmark will publish all grades that are collected in Chinese Yuan (CNY) in their original currency. The change comes amidst heightened foreign exchange (FX) rate volatility over recent months.

The change impacts prices uploaded to the Benchmark website, however subscribers are now able to toggle between currencies for all grades.

Therefore, prices are available in both USD and CNY on the website and will continue to be shown in both USD and CNY in assessments distributed to subscribers via email.

Moreover, Benchmark has changed its FX rate provider for all prices to Finnhub, with FX rates taken for any relevant grades at 9am (London) on the day of publication.
